Topics included the meaning and importance of due process, freedom of expression under the First Amendment, and concerns about the potential erosion of democratic principles.
Panelists included:

- Hon. Mark V. Green (Ret.), former Chief Justice, Massachusetts Appeals Court
- Professor Renée M. Landers, Suffolk University Law School
- Lauren Stiller Rikleen, Executive Director, Lawyers Defending American Democracy
- Attorney Gary O. Todd, Todd & Weld LLP, and President, Greater Newburyport Bar Association
The event encouraged thoughtful dialogue about the health of American democracy and the role of the legal community in preserving constitutional protections.
