Matt Furman to present webinar on rights of first refusal
Matt Furman will present at an April 24 Boston Bar Association webinar addressing Massachusetts law on rights of first refusal.
Mr. Furman and co-panelist Emmanuel Ebot of Stiles Law will provide both a transactional and a litigation perspective on rights of first refusal, why they exist, and what Massachusetts law says (and does not say) about how courts will handle disputes over them. Additionally, they will address the still-open question of how courts should address “unique” offers.
A partner at the firm, Mr. Furman’s litigation practice includes handling high-stakes real estate disputes. He regularly guides commercial landowners and developers through matters concerning interests in real property in the specialized Massachusetts Land Court, as well as in other state and federal courts.
