Lauren Bussey promoted to Of Counsel

Todd & Weld is pleased to announce that Lauren M. Bussey has been promoted from Associate to Of Counsel, in recognition of her exemplary work, leadership in family law matters, and longstanding contributions to the firm.

Since joining Todd & Weld in 2017, Lauren has been a steadfast advocate in a full spectrum of family law cases. She handles divorce, child custody, parenting plans, asset division, prenuptial agreements, and modifications—guiding clients adeptly from negotiation through litigation and often achieving favorable outcomes in court.

Before joining the firm, Lauren served as a law clerk to Judge Virginia M. Ward of Suffolk County Probate and Family Court. Her earlier experience also includes working with respected family law firms in Newton, MA, and Coral Gables, FL.

Lauren holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law (2014) and a B.A. from the University of Florida (2011). She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts (2016) and Florida (2014) and is an active member of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators, the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inn of Court, and both the Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations.

Her excellence in the field has been consistently recognized: she’s been named to Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for Family Law from 2021–2026 and regularly included in Super Lawyers Massachusetts Rising Stars from 2018-2025.

“This promotion is well earned, as it reflects her incredible skills and commitment to leadership within the family law group” said Managing Partner Megan Deluhery.
