Jeff Catalano quoted in Springfield Republican on MBA resolution concerning immigration rights

Jeffrey N. Catalano was quoted in the Springfield Republican concerning the Massachusetts Bar Association's resolution declaring support for the legal and constitutional rights of immigrants entering the United States.

Mr. Catalano, president of the MBA, said, "As the state's largest bar association, we have an obligation to make sure that in any circumstances where we think there are going to be substantial deportations and detentions of people in the commonwealth that there's due process and people's constitutional rights are protected."

The MBA resolution, among other things, voices support for "sanctuary cities" as well as comprehensive immigration reform permitting a path to citizenship for immigrants who enter the country illegally.

Mr. Catalano is a partner at the firm, where he concentrates his practice on representing victims of catastrophic injuries in medical negligence, food poisoning, product liability, and other personal injury matters.
