Published article by Ingrid Martin, Michael DiStefano analyzes use and protection of mobile phone data in white-collar investigations
In the September/October 2023 issue of The Champion, Ingrid S. Martin and Michael R. DiStefano examine how to obtain, protect, preserve, and review data on mobile phones as part of white-collar investigations.
Their article analyzes how white-collar criminal defense attorneys can obtain data they need, as well as how to potentially limit government access to digital data of individual clients and corporate clients.
Among additional topics, Ms. Martin and Mr. DiStefano assess the possible criminal consequences of failing to preserve electronic evidence, as well as offer practice tips on identifying and obtaining relevant electronically stored information.
Ms. Martin and Mr. DiStefano are partners at the firm.
