David Meier named by Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year for Criminal Defense
David E. Meier was named Best Lawyers 2023 Criminal Defense: General Practice "Lawyer of the Year" in Boston.
Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is honored as a Lawyer of the Year. Nationally, 5,484 attorneys (0.4% of all practicing U.S. lawyers) received this award.
Mr. Meier, a partner at the firm, concentrates his practice on government investigations and criminal defense. He represents private individuals and companies during the pre-charging investigation stages, throughout grand jury proceedings, and at trials in state and federal court.
Before joining Todd & Weld, Mr. Meier served for 12 years as the Chief of Homicide in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, supervising the investigation, prosecution, and trial of all homicides occurring within the City of Boston.
