Overview
Sandy represents clients in high-stakes disputes involving employment discrimination claims, personal injury claims, exposure-related liability, and commercial risk. Sandy also advises clients on offer letters, employment agreements and separation agreements, hiring and termination decisions, non-competition, non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
Before joining Todd & Weld, Sandy was an associate at a Boston firm and previously served as a trial attorney for a multinational insurer’s staff counsel office. In that role, she successfully secured defense verdicts in jury trials across Massachusetts and gained extensive experience handling expert and lay witness depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and bench trials. Sandy also negotiated favorable settlements for clients, often avoiding the need for trial.
Earlier in her career, Sandy served as an AmeriCorps Attorney with Health Law Advocates, representing clients in public and private healthcare coverage disputes. During law school, she appeared in probate and family court as a student attorney where she handled guardianship and conservatorship matters and clerked for a personal injury firm, where she focused on cases involving traumatic brain injuries.
She obtained her law degree from Suffolk University Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
