Tyler E. Chapman joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. He has a general litigation practice with a focus on commercial and real estate-related litigation. His cases frequently involve disputes relating to the sale, acquisition and development of real estate as well as disputes over easements and other property rights. Tyler also specializes in landlord-tenant disputes and construction defect litigation. He also handles cases involving litigation over First Amendment issues, non-competition agreements, and closely-held corporations.
Tyler graduated from Harvard University in 1990 and received his Ed. M. from Harvard's Graduate School of Education in 1994. He graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1997 where he was a Note Editor for the Boston University Law Review. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association, and the Urban Land Institute. Tyler is a member of the Board of Advisors of Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the Graduate Review Board of the Harvard Lampoon. Previously, he was a Trustee of the Harvard Lampoon for 25 years, and a member of the Board of Camp Dudley, YMCA.
