After three years of litigation, Howard Cooper, Nicholas Carter and Julie Green obtained a unanimous decision from the Supreme Judicial Court.
The Supreme Judicial Court upheld the right of a local Swedenborgian church to retain its substantial assets, valued in excess of $30 million in real property, after the church terminated its historic affiliation with a national organization of Swedenborgian churches. They also defeated claims that some of the church leaders had allegedly engaged in wrongful use of the church's assets.
