Nicholas B. Carter was quoted by the Brockton Enterprise in a news article concerning the wrongful death claim of his client, the estate of a couple tragically killed in April 2016 when the vehicle in which they were travelling was crushed by a falling tree.
The large, rotted tree was on property owned by the Town of Abington, Mass., according to a property survey. Mr. Carter recently sent a demand letter to the Town, asserting it was negligent in failing to remove the tree prior to the accident.
The deaths of the couple is "a terrible tragedy for the family, and they hope that their legal action helps to protect others from this sort of tragedy happening again," Mr. Carter told the publication.
Mr. Carter, a partner at the firm, has a broad-based litigation practice, including successfully representing clients in personal injury matters.
