Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Publishes Article by Julie Green Analyzing Attorney-Client Privilege in Close Corporations

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly published in its Oct. 19, 2015 issue an article by Julie E. Green examining the attorney-client privilege in the context of litigation involving close corporations.

Ms. Green assesses the nuances of when a party involved in close corporations litigation can assert the attorney-client privilege to protect against discovery of email communications of directors and shareholders and their respective attorneys.

Her article also analyzes what attorneys need to consider when determining whether an email is going to be subject to discovery, including if an email contains business advice, of if a third party such as an accountant is included in the email.

Ms. Green concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation and appellate litigation, including corporate governance matters, partnership disputes, business torts, and unfair trade practices.
