Julianna Zane to moderate panel discussion at MA Bar Association's 30th Annual Family Law Conference

Julianna Zane will be moderating a panel discussion on temporary orders and custody-related issues as part of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s 30th Annual Family Law Conference.

The panel will offer perspectives from the bench and the bar as they explore issues concerning custody-related temporary orders, including:

  • use of Zoom hearings during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as offering tips for how litigants can make effective use of their time both before and during motion hearings
  • the impact of sexual abuse, violence against children, and substance abuse allegations on requests to implement or change a parenting plan
  • when a child over 14 years old resists attending parenting time
  • disparagement of one parent by the other

The virtual Oct. 15 Conference will also include judicial roundtables, a keynote address from Probate and Family Court Chief Justice John D. Casey, and a presentation on the new Massachusetts child support guidelines.

Ms. Zane, who serves on the MBA’s Family Law Section Council, concentrates her practice on domestic relations, including divorce, prenuptial agreements, child custody, asset division, and related litigation.
