Elizabeth E. Olien represents businesses of all sizes, educational institutions, and individuals in a variety of complex commercial and civil disputes and investigations. Her experience includes resolving contractual issues, matters involving officers and directors of corporate and nonprofit boards, disputes between business partners, and disputes between employers and employees. She also has experience representing individuals and educational institutions in internal investigations.
She regularly appears in state and federal trial courts and has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Recently, Ms. Olien persuaded the First Circuit to affirm the complete dismissal of seven-count complaint against the firm's client, the former President of Mount Ida College, brought in connection with the College’s closure. During the ongoing public health crisis, Ms. Olien continues to represent her clients in court through audio and video hearings.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Olien was a management and technology consultant in the Washington, D.C. office of Accenture, helping clients identify operational inefficiencies and implement business processes to reduce costs and increase revenues.
